Morgan’s Rare Books is a proudly independent, family-founded online bookstore based in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia. What began as a personal library—lovingly collected by Brian Morgan over many decades—has grown into a trusted source of rare, used, and out-of-print books for readers and collectors around the world.

Brian was passionate about literature, learning, and the joy of holding a well-worn book in your hands. After he passed away in 2017, I wanted to find a way to honour that love of books and the amazing collection he left behind. Creating this website—and sharing the books he cared so deeply about—became a way to keep his memory alive, and to continue something he started.

What started with around 15,000 books has since grown to include carefully sourced titles in local history, biography, autobiography, spirituality, science, literature, and more. We also offer a unique selection of vintage ephemera, old maps, and rare sheet music.

Morgan’s Rare Books is now a one-woman, home-based micro business. Every book is listed with care, packaged thoughtfully, and sent off in the hope it finds its forever home. We're grateful for the ongoing support of our loyal readers and fellow book lovers.
