“This is the final part of a long-range project.  It is the culmination of a year’s work. The students of Andamooka Area School, their teachers, co-ordinators and the Andamooka Community must be congratulated on the result.  The project was made possible by a grant received from the Social Science Teachers’ Association.  The theme of the project – ‘School Community: A Discovery Experience’ is apt.  The involvement of the students, community and the school in the project was truly a discovery experience.  The project opened doors that have forever been closed; it kindled an interest in community involvement that has now turned into an inferno of co-operation between students, school and community members.  This in itself, marks the project as a ‘success’ – the contents of this book are a bonus.”
