“Geoff and Kerrie Ford’s interest in collecting 19th century Australian domestic pottery began as a hobby over 20 years ago, and quickly grew to a full-time obsession.  Their thirst for knowledge of the early potters led to the publication in South Australia, in 1985, of Geoff’s first book titled ‘19th Century South Australian Pottery, Guide for Historians & Collectors’.
Their success with this book and their love of collecting encouraged them to continue researching, the results of which was their second book ‘Australian Pottery: The First 100 Years, published in Victoria in 1995.
This Encyclopaedia of Australian Potter’s Marks” is an attempt to document all the pre 1975 Australian potters and their potteries, and to illustrated all their marks.  It contains over 1000 Potter’s marks.”book
