“It was originally intended that this history would be completed in time for it to be published on the 150^th anniversary for the Campbell grant, the first in Cessnock township.  However, the time-consuming research made the original target date impossible.
In selecting three authors, Greater Cessnock Council managed to obtain the services of the most suitable people in their respective spheres of interest.  The contribution of each author reflects his own viewpoint – a viewpoint developed over many years of personal involvement within his area of concern.
